Young Explorers

Young Explorers Preschool was founded in June, 2016 by Erin Metcalf, M.A.  Erin has an extensive background in early childhood, completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development at California State University, Fresno and her Master’s Degree from University of California, Santa Barbara in Education, with and emphasis in Early Childhood and Adolescent Development, specializing in Early Childhood Development.  She completed her Master’s Thesis in the Outdoor Classroom where her passion resides in teaching children outdoors and feels that, between discovering their interests and teaching in an outdoor classroom setting, children learn best.  Erin has fulfilled many managerial positions from Lead Classroom Teachers to Education Coordinator to Assistant Directors at both Non-Profit and Corporate sectors.
